Darjeeling Gunpowder, also known
as "Green Pearls", is a type of Green tea made from the unfermented leaf.
These leaves are gently steamed within hours of being plucked, then skillfully
rolled into tight small pellets. After the drying process, these pellets
look remarkably like gunshot or gunpowder giving the tea its descriptive
name. This process preserves its delicate flavour and aroma far longer than
other green teas. Rich in fluoride, calcium, and anti-oxidants, it is well
known for its strong bitter taste, and is often enjoyed by coffee drinkers
who are switching to green tea. This tea is best suited without milk. (100
grams/3.5 ounces)
